Classroom Observation in SD Xaverius 1 Palembang (Third Report)

INTRODUCTION

The third classroom observation in SD Xaverius I was performed on September 30, 2010.  In this observation Yenny and I joined in Mr Wasis’ class (IVB class) where he taught about Least Common Multiple (LCM) and Greatest Common Factor (GCF)

RESULT OF OBSERVATION

Here one of examples of questions about LCM and GCF given by Mr Wasis in the class:

In this class Mr Wasis used traditional method to teach KPK and FPB. He didn’t use PMRI method. In this observation yenny and I just observed the class, how the teaching method used by the teacher and how activity of students during the class. While students were doing their exercises, Yenny and I had discussion with MR Wasis about the next meeting. We plan to make media to teach about angle. Yenny and I who will seek the media related it and Mr Wasis will help us related to stuff needed in the class like.

CONCLUSION

In this observation Yenny and I observed how the teacher taught about KPK and FPB using traditional method and how activity of students during the class. We had discussion to prepare media and material for the next meeting about angle. Mr Wasis, Yenny and I will work together to prepare it.
